Coarse Drawn Heart is a cycle of drawings and works on paper exploring themes of memory and memorialization. While figurative, the images are far from literal, and bear marks of myth or fable. Each piece acts as a poetic fragment; taken together they suggest an epic, existential drama.

A closing reception is scheduled for Saturday, October 8th, 7 – 10 pm.

The Memory Map project

Today I prepared the first hundred envelopes for Memory Map 1, The Approximated States of America. Each envelope contains a copy of a U.S. map drawn from memory, and a survey with which recipients can contribute their ‘geographic memory’ to the project.
