New and recent paintings comprise the show Fauna at the restaurant Andalu, 3198 16th Street (@ Guerrero) in San Francisco. A reception will be held Thursday July 12th from 6 to 9pm. Drink specials and complimentary tapas are available for visitors to the reception.
The show is on view July 2nd through August 6th; Andalu is open nightly from 5:30 pm.

This shows a detail about 2 feet wide from my wall drawing at Incline Gallery (766 Valencia Street @ 19th). The entire drawing is about 8 feet long. Each figure is about 2 inches tall.

Coarse Drawn Heart is a cycle of drawings and works on paper exploring themes of memory and memorialization. While figurative, the images are far from literal, and bear marks of myth or fable. Each piece acts as a poetic fragment; taken together they suggest an epic, existential drama.
A closing reception is scheduled for Saturday, October 8th, 7 – 10 pm.
